Since 1920, St. Patrick Friary has provided food to those in need within the city of Buffalo. Thanks to the hard work of the local Franciscans as well as passionate volunteers dating back to 1995, St. Patrick’s Food Pantry has remained in existence for over 25 years.
We are dedicated to providing a “Client Choice” style of operation – meaning our valued clients choose what food items they desire. This allows for more dignity in choice and less food waste. As a result, ordering is done with respect to client based food choices and specialty items. Clients can receive food once a month; however no one is EVER turned away. Every client receives enough food for three full days of balanced and healthy meals including snacks.
All clients must be certified and meet income eligibility guidelines. Guidelines are based on the 2017 Federal Income Poverty figures starting a $21, 978 for a household of one. Additionally, clients must live within the neighborhood. Please note, we will refer clients to the correct pantry location based on residence if applicable.
